Growing AAC Professionals: Resources on PrAACtical AAC
Vicki Haddix’s SLP graduate students at the University of Memphis created some great final projects for their AAC course. Vicki designed the class to incorporate elements of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) within the class, which included letting the students choose their own final projects. The students’ final projects covered topics, including AAC in a pediatric medical setting, representation of AAC in children’s literature, self-advocacy, AAC abandonment, and adaptations of Bible stories for AAC users. The final projects, along with many other great resources, can be found on PrAACtical AAC.
